Job summary

North Country Healthcare is seeking an Ultrasonographer to perform high-frequency ultrasound images for OB/GYN, abdominal, vascular, carotid doppler, and small parts studies. The role requires ARDMS registration (abdomen or OB/Gyn preferred) and 1+ year of ultrasound experience.

Under radiologist direction and Imaging Services leadership, you will work with patients and staff, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely study completion. Travel reimbursement may apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA-approved ultrasonography program.
• ARDMS registration in abdominal or OB/Gyn (both preferred).
• Minimum 1 year ultrasound experience; 3 years preferred.
• Proven ability to interact effectively with patients, co-workers, practitioners, and visitors.
• Willingness to work in a team-oriented environment and communicate effectively.
• Familiarity with Meditech Health Information System and computer applications.
• Willingness to learn software applications used at AVH.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality ultrasound images for OB/GYN, abdominal, vascular, carotid doppler and small parts.
• Operate ultrasound equipment and ensure studies are performed to departmental standards.
• Assist radiologists with procedures and maintain equipment.
• Review orders and prepare patients; explain procedures and verify clinical history.
