Ventura Services Florida is seeking an ultrasound technologist to produce two-dimensional ultrasonic recordings of internal organs for physician diagnosis. You will select equipment, explain the procedure to patients, position them, adjust transducers, and record data.

You will operate displays, capture permanent records, and discuss findings with physicians while maintaining professional patient relations.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate from an accredited ultrasound technology program.
• BLS certification is required.
• ARDMS license is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Selects equipment for ultrasound setup according to examination specs.
• Explains procedure to patient and assists positioning.
• Adjusts transducer and controls by organ and depth.
• Keys data into ultrasound equipment computer to record results.
• Manages transducer movement and monitors ultrasound displays.
• Starts equipment and records diagnostic data on media.
• Photographs images or preserves prints for records.
• Discusses results with supervisor or attending physician.
• Demonstrates professionalism and effective communication with patients and staff.
• Performs other duties as required.
• May vary shifts or weekend rotation; overtime may be required with director approval.
