Job summary

Pennock Hospital, part of Corewell Health, seeks an Ultrasonographer for the Ultrasound department in Hastings, MI. The role performs basic diagnostic ultrasound exams and supports physicians during procedures, with a 24-hour weekly schedule and weekend shift coverage.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate's degree (or equivalent), ultrasound experience, and relevant ARRT/ARDMS certifications, plus BLS within 90 days of hire; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent in a related field required.
• 2 years of relevant ultrasound experience required.
• ARDMS/ARRT certifications required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic diagnostic ultrasound examinations as prescribed by the physician.
• Assist physicians with invasive procedures as needed.
• Provide appropriate patient care and recognize conditions essential for successful exams.

About the Unit

We offer a wide range of imaging that includes Computerized Tomography (CT), Nuclear Medicine, Diagnostic Radiology, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), PET/CT, Mammography, and Ultrasound. We are a fundamental part of the care team -- we use the latest imaging technology to help with the diagnosis and treatment of our patients. This position is applicable for an Ultrasonographer, Tech 1 with less than two years of related work experience and Ultrasonographer, Tech 2 with two years or more of related work experience.

Scope of work

Performs basic diagnostic ultrasound examinations as prescribed by the physician and documents findings. Assists physicians with invasive procedures as needed. Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.

Qualifications

• Required Associate's Degree or equivalent experience in related field
• Preferred Bachelor's Degree
• 2 years of relevant experience in ultrasound Required
• CRT-Sonographer (S) - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Upon Hire required Or

• CRT-Vascular Sonographer (VS) - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Vascular Sites Upon Hire required
• CRT-Breast (BR) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Breast Center Sites Excluding Regionals not performing Breast Imaging Imaging Upon Hire required
• CRT-Breast Sonographer (BS) - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Sonography Breast Center Sites Excluding Regionals not performing Breast Imaging Upon Hire required
