Job summary

Industrial Power Solutions, a Sundt Company, is seeking an experienced Panel Designer to join our Electrical Manufacturing team. You will design industrial control systems, develop PLC and HMI programs, and support panel fabrication and startup activities.

Join IPS to work on custom UL 508A panels and automated systems for industrial facilities, collaborating with engineering and manufacturing colleagues to deliver high-quality solutions and ensure successful commissioning.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial controls, automation, or control systems engineering.
• Experience designing UL 508A industrial control panels.
• Experience programming PLC and HMI systems.
• Ability to read and modify electrical schematics, P&IDs, and control drawings.
• Strong understanding of industrial automation systems, motor controls, instrumentation, and electrical components.

Responsibilities

• Design UL 508A industrial control panels, electrical schematics, and panel layouts.
• Develop PLC, HMI, and SCADA programs for industrial automation systems.
• Create and maintain electrical drawings using AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar CAD software.
• Select electrical components and ensure designs comply with UL 508A, NEC, and NFPA 79 standards.
• Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and panel shop teams throughout project execution.
• Support FAT, startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and customer support.
