Job summary

Fulfil is hiring an Electrical Controls Engineer to design and support industrial control systems and UL 508A compliant panels for our automation platforms. You will own the design, documentation, and validation of electrical systems, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance including UL 508A, NFPA 79, NEC.

You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver reliable automation. In this role you will design control panels, develop schematics and BOMs, select components, and support

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of professional work experience.
• Strong knowledge of UL 508A, NFPA 79, and NEC (NFPA 70).
• Experience with SCCR calculations and protection coordination.
• Hands-on design and documentation of control panels and wiring systems.
• Experience with motor control systems and PLC hardware platforms.
• Familiarity with industrial protocols (Ethernet, Modbus, CAN).
• Functional safety knowledge (ISO 13849/IEC 62061).
• Electrical CAD skills (SolidWorks Electrical).
• Strong troubleshooting and communication; travel 15%.

Responsibilities

• Design control panels in compliance with UL 508A, NFPA 79, NEC.
• Develop electrical schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, BOMs.
• Select and specify control components including breakers, contactors, PLCs.
• Design motor control systems, safety circuits and power distribution.
• Collaborate with PLC software engineers to integrate controls functionality.
• Support panel builds, and work with contract shops.
• Assist with panel certification and labeling processes.
• Troubleshoot electrical and controls issues during bring-up and commissioning.
• Support installation at customer sites as needed.
