Job summary

Industrial Power Solutions, a Sundt Company, seeks an experienced Control Systems Engineer to design industrial control systems, develop PLC and HMI programs, support panel fabrication, and assist with startup and commissioning. The role focuses on custom UL 508A control panels and electrical solutions for industrial facilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial controls, automation, or control systems engineering.
• Experience programming PLC and HMI systems.
• Ability to read and modify electrical schematics, P&IDs, and control drawings.
• Strong understanding of industrial automation systems, motor controls, instrumentation, and electrical components.
• Experience using AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar electrical design software.

Responsibilities

• Design UL 508A industrial control panels, electrical schematics, and panel layouts.
• Develop PLC, HMI, and SCADA programs for industrial automation systems.
• Create and maintain electrical drawings using AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar CAD software.
• Select electrical components and ensure designs comply with UL 508A, NEC, and NFPA 79 standards.
• Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and panel shop teams throughout project execution.
• Support FAT, startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and customer support.
