Job summary

Optomi, in partnership with a leading industrial and manufacturing company, seeks an experienced UKG Pro Workforce Management contractor to serve as a subject matter expert and configuration lead. The role focuses on platform optimization, gap assessment, and building scalable processes for future growth.

The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on UKG Pro WFM experience, strong HR/Payroll process understanding, and a proven ability to drive structured configuration improvements while working

• Experience designing end-to-end test scenarios in lower environments.

Responsibilities

• Assess UKG Pro WFM configuration against timekeeping, attendance, accruals, scheduling.
• Engage HR, Payroll, and Operations stakeholders to surface gaps.
• Lead configuration corrections and ensure end-to-end testing before UAT.
• Provide hands-on guidance to IT and test teams.
• Identify sustainable processes to mature the UKG environment over time.

Optomi, in partnership with a leading industrial and manufacturing company, is seeking an experienced UKG Workforce Management contractor to serve as a subject matter expert and configuration lead for a platform optimization and capability-building initiative. This is not a day-to-day administration role. We need a seasoned practitioner who can assess our current environment, identify configuration gaps, lead the work to correct them, and help establish a repeatable, scalable process for future growth.

What We're Looking For

• Deep hands-on experience configuring and optimizing UKG Pro Workforce Management (Dimensions) environments.
• Strong understanding of HR and Payroll processes and how they drive WFM system configuration.
• Demonstrated ability to assess a production environment, diagnose configuration issues, and lead structured configuration improvements.
• Experience designing and executing end-to-end test scenarios in lower environments prior to business validation.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with HR, Payroll, and IT stakeholders and translate business requirements into system solutions.
• Consulting or implementation background strongly preferred, as this role requires someone who can operate independently, move with urgency, and communicate clearly with both technical and business audiences.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or large hourly employee populations a plus.

What You'll Be Doing

• Assess the current UKG Pro WFM configuration against business requirements across timekeeping, attendance, accruals, and scheduling.
• Engage directly with HR, Payroll, and Operations stakeholders to understand how the system should be configured to meet their needs, asking the right questions to surface gaps the business may not know how to articulate.
• Lead configuration corrections in the lower environment, ensuring changes are properly tested end-to-end before handoff to the business functional team for UAT validation.
• Support the internal IT team by providing hands-on guidance, coaching them through proper configuration and testing methodology.
• Identify opportunities to establish sustainable processes for managing, growing, and maturing the UKG environment over time.
