Job summary

The Georgia Department of Labor is hiring a UI Program Associate 1 in Atlanta to support hearing and disposition of contested UI cases, assisting with appeal requests, mail handling, and hearing file maintenance.

This role requires strong organization, computer and communication skills, and the ability to multi-task; an associate degree is preferred and a high school diploma with experience qualifies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED with 3 years of office/administrative experience may qualify.
• Associate degree preferred in business, communications, paralegal studies, or liberal arts.
• Strong organization and communication skills; ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Assist with processing appeal requests.
• Process and respond to postponement requests.
• Advise parties of hearing delays and continuances.
• Review and handle mail; maintain hearing files and records.
• Add information to hearing files and ensure up-to-date Tribunal records.
• Respond to telephone calls and inquiries; data entry.
