Job summary

The State of Nebraska is seeking a U.I. Adjudicator in Lincoln, on-site, to analyze benefit claims and issue determinations. You will process appeals, explain procedures, and assist claimants and employers while maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities include interviewing claimants, verifying work search, identifying barriers, and assisting with wage investigations and various claim types. A customer-service background and strong computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Post high-school coursework or training in math, composition and/or use of computer equipment, OR experience in fact finding/interviewing.
• Customer service experience including answering inquiries, explaining procedures or call center experience.
• Proficient computer and typing skills, ability to work under high workload and stress.

Responsibilities

• Analyze benefit claims and write legal determinations of eligibility.
• Process appeals and assist claimants and employers with procedures.
• Investigate and establish overpayments to recover unauthorized benefits.
• Answer inquiries and interview claimants to determine continued eligibility.
• Maintain accurate data entry and file documentation as required.
