Job summary
The Bison Group in Reston, VA is seeking a Unified Communications and Collaboration (UC&C) Operations Technician to provide maintenance and advanced support for customers globally. You will work with CUCM, CMS, TMS, VTC, IM/Presence, and video streaming tools, while guiding junior staff and assisting with security and SOPs.
Responsibilities include scheduling and monitoring VTC sessions, performing upgrades, and resolving UC&C issues across networks and endpoints.
Qualifications
- Experience with VoIP/PBX telephony systems and Cisco Unified Communications Manager.
- Knowledge of IM systems (Cisco Jabber, Webex, MS Teams) and Presence services.
- AC/DC knowledge for VTC equipment, CMS, MCU, and related tools.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical knowledge of VoIP/PBX systems and Cisco UC components.
- Support IM systems (Jabber, Webex, Teams) and Presence services.
- Handle AV streaming including Vbrick Rev and IMC-related hardware.
- Work with VTC equipment (TMS, CODECs, MCU, CMS) and perform upgrades.
- Train and guide junior staff; assist projects and provide SOPs.
- Manage tickets and ensure security policy compliance; patch and monitor.
- Schedule, monitor, and support VTC services for customers.
