Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. is seeking a Production Technician II to assemble and test Small Unmanned Aircraft System products in our CA manufacturing facility. You will follow engineering drawings, use hand and power tools, perform subassembly work, and assist with quality checks to ensure high standards.

The role involves reading blueprints, soldering where needed, and collaborating with manufacturing engineers to optimize processes. Strong attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent
• 1–2 years in manufacturing or production (electronics or electro‑mechanical)
• Experience with hand tools (crimpers, drills, taps, torque wrenches, power and air tools)
• Good manual dexterity and basic computer skills
• Strong oral and written communication; detail‑oriented and analytical

Responsibilities

• Assemble subassemblies using hand and power tools.
• Solder as part of assembly when required.
• Conduct final assembly of ground control equipment and air vehicles.
• Test and troubleshoot subassemblies and final products.
• Collaborate with engineers to improve documents and processes.
• Maintain work order documentation and cleanliness; follow safety protocols.
