Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. is seeking a Contractor Test Technician II to support testing and assembly of our Small Unmanned Aircraft System products in our California manufacturing facility.

You will follow drawings and instructions using the work order system, perform subassembly and final assembly tasks, and help improve assembly processes. The role involves hands-on use of hand and power tools, soldering, and adherence to high-quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
• 1–2 years in manufacturing or production electronics/test is required or equivalent.
• Experience with hand tools and ability to solder as part of assembly.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical assembly of subassemblies with hand/power tools.
• Final assembly of ground control equipment and air vehicles.
• Testing and troubleshooting subassemblies and final assemblies.
• Maintain work order protocols and complete related paperwork.
• May train other technicians on assembly processes.
• Support in-process quality checks and process improvements.
