Job summary

AeroVironment is hiring a Production Technician III to test and assemble small UAS products in our Utah facility. You will follow engineering drawings and work orders to build subassemblies and final systems, using various hand and power tools.

You’ll test and troubleshoot, document work order activity, and collaborate with engineering to improve processes. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 2–4 years of related experience, with ability to solder, read blueprints, and work in a

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 2-4 years manufacturing or production experience in electronics or electro-mechanical assembly and test.
• Experience with hand tools (crimpers, drills, taps, torque wrenches, power and air tools).
• Ability to solder as part of assembly function and duties.
• Good manual dexterity and basic computer operation skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Mechanically assemble subassemblies using hand and/or power tools.
• Perform final assembly of ground control equipment and air vehicles.
• Test and troubleshoot subassemblies and final assemblies.
• Maintain high-quality documentation and follow work order protocols.
• Train other technicians and assist in process improvement.
• Conduct in-process quality checks and support lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Support engineering with documentation and assembly instructions as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
