Job summary

SAIC in Huntsville, AL is seeking a motivated UAS Software Engineer to join the S3I JSIL Tech Center. You will collaborate with developers, testers, and cyber personnel to address bugs and add features to the codebase.

The candidate will sit on-site at the customer site in Huntsville, AL, and engage in cross-functional collaboration, technology evaluation, and detailed documentation oriented toward reliable, scalable software solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience; 4 years of additional experience in lieu of degree.
• Active Secret security clearance; US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: work with managers, hardware, network engineers and stakeholders to implement system requirements and ensure seamless integration of software, hardware, and network components.
• Innovation & Technology Evaluation: stay current on emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and methodologies to improve development processes and system performance.
• Documentation & Communication: create detailed technical documentation, including system designs, APIs, and architectural diagrams; communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Software Development & Optimization: assist with design and implementation of software solutions; ensure high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code; help with debugging and optimization for large-scale systems.
