Job summary

Skyeton, Inc. in Fayetteville, NC seeks a skilled UAS Air Vehicle Operator / Field Service Representative to fly Group 2/3 UAVs for ISR and testing. You’ll serve as on-site technical expert, maintaining hardware, integrating payloads, and supporting deployments.

Role covers flight operations, field service, and mission coordination, with extensive travel. FAA Part 107 required; DoD qualifications preferred. Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–5 years as Remote PIC for Group 2 or 3 UAS.
• FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate required; DoD qualifications preferred.
• Hands-on maintenance with UAV propulsion, avionics, autopilots.
• Travel 50–75% including remote or international deployments.
• Must pass background check and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Execute pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight checklists.
• Safely launch, fly, and recover Group 2 and Group 3 UAVs in varied conditions.
• Conduct mission planning using taskings, weather data, and reports.
• Operate and monitor payloads, EO/IR, and comms gear.
• Maintain FAA/DoD flight standards and procedures.
• Troubleshoot and maintain aircraft, GCS, and LRE on site.
• Provide on-site tech support, resolving hardware/software issues.
• Manage spare parts inventories and maintenance logs.
• Deliver equipment training and user orientations.
