Job summary

Sinclair Community College seeks an adjunct faculty member to teach Unmanned Aerial Systems courses on the main Dayton campus. The role supports aviation technology programs and involves delivering curriculum crafted by the department across assigned sections.

The position offers part-time hours with compensation per credit hour, and requires US residency in Ohio, Indiana, or Kentucky, or eligibility to work in these states.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in aviation, aeronautics, UAS, or related area required.
• Master’s degree preferred or meet specific licensure/certification requirements.
• FAA pilot certificate (private, commercial, or instructor) preferred.
• UAS pilot or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach curriculum developed and prepared by the department.
• Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning.
• Prepare and provide syllabi for all assigned sections per policies.
• Use appropriate teaching strategies and instructional technology.
• Modify teaching methods to meet diverse student needs.
• Support classroom and online efforts to promote student success.
• Evaluate and return student work promptly.
