Job summary

U-Haul is seeking friendly, energetic individuals for the U-Box Warehouse Worker role in Springfield, Virginia. You will interact with customers and ensure their storage needs are met with courteous, reliable service.

Key duties include operating an 8,000-lb propane forklift or a truck-mounted forklift (training provided), loading and unloading containers, assisting customers, and preparing delivery documentation while keeping the warehouse clean, dry and secure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to maintain a good driving record.
• Adhere to local, state and federal vehicular regulations while driving.

Responsibilities

• Operate an 8,000-lb propane forklift or a truck-mounted forklift (training provided).
• Load and unload storage containers onto and off truck beds for delivery to and from a storage facility.
• Provide customer assistance, including the sale of support items and use of online dispatch and rental systems.
• Perform customer-ready inspections of U-Box containers prior to dispatch and upon return.
• Prepare, receive and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery or pickup of goods.
• Ensure that the warehouse storage facility is clean, dry and secure.
• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
