Job summary

U-Haul is seeking friendly, energetic Warehouse Workers to assist customers and ensure accurate, safe handling of goods at our La Vergne facility. You will operate forklifts, load/unload containers, and help customers with dispatch or rental systems. The role includes inspections, documentation, and upkeep of a clean, secure warehouse.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to maintain a good driving record.
• Adhere to local, state, and federal vehicular regulations while driving.

Responsibilities

• Operate an 8,000-lb propane forklift or a truck-mounted forklift (training provided).
• Load and unload storage containers onto and off truck beds for delivery to and from a storage facility.
• Provide customer assistance, including the sale of support items and use of online dispatch and rental systems.
• Perform customer-ready inspections of U-Box containers prior to dispatch and upon return.
• Prepare, receive and provide documentation for delivery or pickup of goods.
• Ensure the warehouse storage facility is clean, dry and secure.
• Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
