Job summary

U-Haul International, Inc. is seeking energetic Warehouse Workers to support U-Box operations in the Norfolk area. You will operate forklifts, assist customers, and manage inbound/outbound containers with accurate documentation and safety at the forefront.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, performing inspections, and maintaining a clean, secure warehouse environment while participating in ongoing education through U-Haul University.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to operate forklifts and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate an 8,000-lb propane forklift or a truck-mounted forklift (training provided).
• Load and unload storage containers onto and off truck beds for delivery to and from a storage facility.
• Provide customer assistance, including the sale of support items and use of online dispatch and rental systems.
• Perform customer-ready inspections of U-Box containers prior to dispatch and upon return.
• Prepare, receive and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery or pickup of goods.
• Ensure that the warehouse storage facility is clean, dry and secure.
• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
