Job summary

U-Haul International, Inc. is seeking a part-time U-Box Warehouse Worker in Los Angeles. You will interact with customers, assist with dispatch and rental systems, and help keep the storage facility clean, safe and secure.

Typical duties include operating forklifts, loading/unloading containers, inspecting containers, and handling delivery paperwork. This role emphasizes safety, reliability, and customer-ready service with opportunities for ongoing U-Haul education.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to maintain a good driving record.
• Adhere to all local state (provincial) and federal vehicular regulations while driving.

Responsibilities

• Operate an 8,000-lb propane forklift or a truck-mounted forklift (training provided).
• Load and unload storage containers onto and off truck beds for delivery to and from a storage facility.
• Provide customer assistance, including the sale of support items and use of online dispatch and rental systems.
• Perform customer-ready inspections of U-Box containers prior to dispatch and upon return.
• Prepare, receive and provide appropriate documentation for the delivery or pickup of goods.
• Ensure that the warehouse storage facility is clean, dry and secure.
• Participate in ongoing continuous U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
