Job summary

Teach For America seeks individuals to teach full-time in under-resourced public schools across the United States. You will build authentic relationships with students and families, gaining hands-on leadership experience and addressing barriers that affect learning both inside and outside the classroom.

Applicants from all majors are encouraged, with a baseline GPA of 2.5 and a bachelor’s degree. Remote teaching is not offered; positions are in-person across regions with salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher.
• Bachelor’s degree (in any field of study).
• Must be a citizen, national, or legal resident of the United States, EAD holder, or have DACA status.
• No background in education or teaching certification required—candidates from all majors and experience levels are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Teach two years full-time in an under-resourced public school
• Build genuine relationships with students and families - not just lesson plans
• Learn to navigate the barriers kids face inside and outside the classroom
• Sharpen your communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills through daily classroom leadership
• Work alongside your school community to remove obstacles and open doors for students who need it most
