Job summary

BearCom in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Field Service Technician II to install and service wireless communications systems. You will work with UHF/VHF and 800/900 MHz platforms, configure codeplugs, and support customers with practical field solutions.

The role requires strong RF knowledge, problem solving, and the ability to travel regionally and cover on-call hours. BearCom offers extensive on-the-job training and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Service Technician experience diagnosing, repairing, programming, and installing Motorola, Kenwood, ICOM, Vertex equipment in the 2-way radio wireless/communication field.
• Extensive knowledge of 2-way radio theory and RF propagation across frequency bands.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word/Excel).

Responsibilities

• Install and service wireless communications equipment (UHF/VHF, 800/900 MHz, DAS, BDA, CCTV).
• Create mid-level codeplugs with multiple channels and zones.
• Recommend equipment to meet customer requirements.
• Some regional travel and on-call hours may be required.
