Job summary

BearCom, the leading distributor of wireless voice, data and video solutions, is hiring a Field Service Technician II in Pittsburgh. The role focuses on installation and support of wireless communications systems, providing strong customer service and practical RF expertise.

You will create codeplugs, install diverse equipment, and suggest components meeting customer needs. Regional travel and on-call duties are part of the job, with training and certifications supported by BearCom.

Qualifications

• Proficient Electronics Background.
• Experience diagnosing, repairing, programming, and installing RF equipment.
• Understands two-way radio theory and RF propagation characteristics.

Responsibilities

• Create mid-level programming codeplugs (12+ channels, trunking, multiple zones).
• Install and service wireless equipment (UHF/VHF, 800/900 MHz, dispatch consoles, DAS/BDA, CCTV).
• Recommend equipment meeting customer requirements.
• Travel regionally and on-call may be required.
