Job summary

BearCom is hiring a Field Service Technician II to install and support wireless communications systems in the Pittsburgh area. You will play a key role in delivering reliable service and guiding customers through system setups and enhancements.

The ideal candidate has extensive RF knowledge, hands-on experience with diagnostic tools, and a strong customer-service mindset. Some regional travel and on-call hours may be required, with extensive on-the-job training provided.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in diagnosing, repairing, programming, and installing RF equipment.
• Strong understanding of two-way radio theory and RF propagation across bands.
• Ability to read schematics and diagrams accurately.

Responsibilities

• Create mid-level programming codeplugs (12+ channels, trunking, multiple zones).
• Install and service wireless communications equipment (UHF/VHF, 800/900 MHz).
• Recommend equipment meeting customer requirements; travel as needed.
