Job summary

Gingerbread Littleversity in Fuquay-Varina, NC is seeking an Assistant Toddler Teacher to support the Two's age group. You will assist the lead teacher and help implement activities that promote emotional, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, ECE credentials or 6 credits; background checks are required. Prior childcare experience is a plus. This is a Monday–Friday, 9:00am–6:00pm on-site role with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is required.
• Prefer completion of early childhood education credentials or 6 credits in ECE or equivalent.
• Must pass all background checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher with all classroom activities.
• Implement activities supporting emotional, social, cognitive, creative, and physical growth.
• Take direction, accept feedback, and improve as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment for children.
• Build professional rapport with families to provide quality care.
• Meet physical requirements to work with young children (lift up to 40 lbs).
