Job summary

Gingerbread Littleversity of Fuquay-Varina is seeking an Assistant Toddler Teacher to support our Two's classroom. This hands-on role focuses on fostering emotional, social, cognitive, and physical development within a caring, activity-driven program.

Qualified candidates hold a high school diploma, with ECE credentials or 6 ECE credits preferred. Background checks are required; childcare experience is a plus. Mon-Fri, 9:00am–6:00pm, with competitive pay and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher with classroom activities and maintain a safe, clean environment.

• Establish professional rapport with families to provide quality care.
• Participate in all aspects of the classroom while supporting team goals.
• Watch for safety and assist with any physical duties as required.

Gingerbread Littleversity of Fuquay-Varina is a licensed childcare center seeking Assistant Teachers to support the following age groups:

• Two's

To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require a high school diploma and we prefer the completion of early childhood education credentials or 6 credits worth of early childhood education courses or their equivalent. We require the ability to pass all background checks. A plus if you have previous childcare experience!

Required Shift:

Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 6:00pm

Compensation:

$15-17/hr, based on education and experience

Our Hiring Process for Assistant Toddler Teachers:

Main Job Responsibilities for Assistant Toddler Teachers:

• Assist the lead teacher with all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center.
• Implement activities that encourage each child’s growth in the areas of emotion, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
• Take direction, accept constructive criticism, and feedback, and make improvements and changes as necessary for the betterment of the quality of the program.
• Create and maintain an environment that is clean and safe for all children.
• Establishing a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
