Job summary

Gingerbread Littleversity of Fuquay-Varina is seeking a dependable substitute staff member for our childcare center. A high school diploma or GED is required, and applicants must be 18 years of age. Prior childcare experience is a plus.

The role runs Monday–Friday, 9:00am–6:00pm, with pay ranging from $15–$17 per hour based on education and experience. We offer competitive benefits and a supportive, family-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Willingness to substitute for any position as needed, including covering breaks and absences.

• Maintain safety and adapt activities for young children.
• Lift and move up to 40 lbs and perform physical duties as required.

Main Job Responsibilities:

• Willingnessto effectively substitute for any position as needed. This includes covering staff members’ breaks, filling in for staff members in their absences, and assuming the classroom duties of staff members before or after their scheduled shifts.
• Demonstrate patience, kindness and positive interactions with all children,parents,and staff.
• Operate as a team player and willingness to help where needed under the director of the lead teacher.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing,walking,running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
