Job summary

University of Nevada, Reno is seeking an Extension County Coordinator to lead community education efforts across Ely and Eureka, NV, splitting time between both counties. You’ll supervise offices, build relations with local agencies, and coordinate statewide programs in agriculture, youth and families, and health.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree (or master’s) with several years of related experience and a fingerprinting background check. Travel within Nevada is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and four years of related professional work experience, OR Master’s Degree and two years of related professional work experience
• Related Experience: Community education programming and office management or a related field
• This position requires candidates to complete a fingerprinting/background check.

Responsibilities

• Identify community education needs and coordinate statewide programs for agriculture, youth and families, horticulture, and health.
• Supervise offices and staff to ensure programming meets community needs.
• Develop and maintain relationships with county commissions and community agencies; collaborate with statewide experts.
• Travel within the state for conferences and meetings as required.
