Job summary

University of Nevada, Reno Extension seeks a Community Based Instructor 3 to design and implement camping programs for the Nevada 4‑H Camp in Alamo and Las Vegas. You will deliver 4‑H curriculum to campers and field-trip participants, and oversee day and residential programs for youth across Southern Nevada.

The role involves evaluating activities, producing reports, and pursuing outreach and partnership opportunities while coordinating logistics and attending program meetings.

Qualifications

  • High-school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Three (3) years of relevant experience in agriculture, horticulture, community development, health and nutrition, human and family development, or natural resources in urban and rural settings.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to meet background-check and fingerprinting requirements.

Compensation

Grade 27, Step 01 in the classified service pay system. Salary determined by qualifications and internal equity.
