Job summary

Loyola University Chicago is seeking a Coordinator for the Tutoring Center to oversee Peer Tutoring and Success Coaching programs, supervise graduate and undergraduate staff, and coordinate assessments and growth initiatives. The role supports academic services across multiple campus programs and partnerships.

The Coordinator will lead trainings, manage schedules, develop materials, and collaborate with the Associate Director to expand offerings and engagement with students, faculty, and campus

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 1-2 years of experience related to learning assistance; master's degree and knowledge of learning theory and academic support strategies preferred.
• Solid understanding of learning theory and academic support strategies and services.
• Experience developing and implementing student programming at the post-secondary level.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to competently assess students' needs and provide appropriate learning assistance.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively collaborate with faculty, staff, and students in programming efforts and University committee participation.
• Dedication to student success, providing student-centered services in the Ignatian tradition, and University student retention efforts.
• Must be able to work some evening and weekend hours for Tutoring Center operations and for student and campus events.

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Associate Director for the Tutoring Center, the Coordinator leads the management, growth, development, and assessment of the Peer Tutoring and Success Coaching programs.
• Lead and supervise Peer Tutors; coordinate undergraduate staff schedules and exam review session requests.
• Coordinate recruitment, interviews, and trainings for Peer Tutors and SI leaders; grow partnerships campus-wide.
• Market and reach out to students, faculty, staff, and the community regarding programming expansion and Center relations.
• Represent the Tutoring Center during on-campus events and resource fairs.
• Supervise Tutoring Program Assistants who support administrative work.

Education
