Job summary

The University of Missouri-Writing Center at University of Missouri-Columbia is seeking a Senior Student Service Coordinator to manage daily operations across three tutoring sites and the Online Writery. The role includes supervising 50-60 undergraduate tutors and coordinating outreach, events, and front desk operations.

You will also train and mentor 15-20 Graduate and professional tutoring staff while supporting Graduate and Undergraduate writing initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• At least 3 years of related experience.
• Experience tutoring/teaching is preferred.
• Experience managing undergraduate students and working with Graduate students is preferred.
• Experience with program management and/or event planning is preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Managing daily operations of Writing Center sites, including on-site supervision.
• Assisting in the scheduling, training, and ongoing evaluations of our 50-60 undergraduate tutoring staff.
• Coordination of the delivery of outreach presentations, event planning, marketing materials, and on-site front desk supervision.
• Facilitating graduate student-focused programming and events
• Assisting with the training and mentoring of our 15-20 Graduate and professional tutoring staff.
• Managing some payroll and personnel data for the Center.
• Other duties as assigned to assist both Graduate and Undergraduate support needs.
