Job summary

The University of Georgia in Athens is seeking a Coordinator of Peer Tutoring to lead and grow the campus-wide Peer Tutoring program. You will coordinate tutoring services across disciplines, manage scheduling, data, and program logistics, and supervise undergraduate tutors to support student success.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Peer Education and Learning Innovation, you will partner with faculty and campus partners, implement CRLA standards, and explore AI- and VR-enabled tutoring

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent.
• Experience coordinating peer tutoring and student services.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to recruit, train, and supervise student staff.
• Excellent verbal, written, and digital communication skills.
• Familiarity with campus systems and outreach tools.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary operational point of contact for Peer Tutoring program inquiries from students, faculty, and campus partners.
• Coordinate tutoring schedules, session formats, and space reservations to ensure accessible and effective service delivery.
• Maintain and update tutoring records, participation data, and program tracking systems using Penji, for reporting and assessment purposes.
• Support the administration of CRLA certification processes, including tracking completion of requirements.
• Oversee tutor recruitment, onboarding, and supervision to meet program goals.
• Promote the program and coordinate outreach with academic departments and campus partners.
