Job summary

Yavapai College is seeking a Supervisor, Tutoring Services to oversee daily operations at the Prescott Center for Learning and Innovation (CLI) and supervise the Tutoring Specialist. You will provide drop-in and by-appointment tutoring, coordinate embedded tutoring, and support campus centers district-wide.

You will expand outreach to Early College students, collaborate with the Verde Valley Learning Resources Supervisor, and build faculty relationships to increase referrals and placements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3+ years of experience supervising staff in higher education.
• 1–2 years of tutoring or academic support experience in a high school, higher education, or similar setting.
• Experience with Early College programs, embedded tutoring models, or multi-campus service coordination.
• Willingness and ability to travel to Prescott Valley, CTEC, and other CLI-affiliated centers; reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
• Able to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervise tutoring staff, including scheduling and performance feedback.
• Provide by-appointment tutoring in writing and/or mathematics for at least 10 hours per week.
• Staff YC-affiliated campus centers such as Prescott Valley and CTEC.
• Coordinate and market the embedded tutoring program with faculty outreach.
• Lead student engagement events (e.g., Finals Fest) and staff the Information Services Desk.
• Compile statistics and reports on tutoring services, staffing, and outreach.
• Monitor expenditures to keep operations within budget.
