Job summary

UNLV seeks an Assistant Director of Tutoring and Supplemental Instruction to lead campus-wide learning support, including tutoring, embedded tutoring, and Supplemental Instruction. You will supervise staff, manage budgets, and drive assessment to improve student success.

The role collaborates with faculty and campus partners, reporting to Academic Learning Services. It is a full-time, in-person position with occasional evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• At least three years of higher education experience.
• 1–3 years of managing temporary or full-time staff.
• Experience with learning support programs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for campus-wide learning support services.
• Oversee tutoring, Supplemental Instruction, and related programs.
• Recruit, hire, train, schedule, supervise, and timekeep staff.
• Lead assessment efforts and report on program effectiveness.
• Collaborate with faculty and campus partners to align services with student needs.
• Identify opportunities to expand learning support services.
• This is a full-time, in-person role; some evenings and weekends may be required.
