Job summary

Wayne County Public Schools is seeking a Tutor to provide tutorial services that help students understand subject matter and improve academic skills through both group and individual sessions.

The position reports to the principal and requires a two-year degree or 48 semester hours of college coursework. Ten-month employment with at-will status; starting compensation is $15.00/hour for non-certified and $25.00/hour for certified tutors.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree or 48 semester hours of college coursework.
• Ability to maintain order and discipline.
• Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing.
• Provide academic assistance to tutees in group or individual settings.
• Maintain confidentiality and act as a positive role model.

Responsibilities
