United Rentals is hiring a Design & Construction Manager to oversee design, planning, construction, maintenance and alteration of company facilities. You will manage regional projects within budget and timelines, seeking cost reductions and efficiencies.

Qualifications include a Civil Engineering/Construction-related degree and 5–7 years of commercial construction experience. Travel up to 50% is expected. Benefits include parental leave, savings programs and career development.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field (or equivalent).
• 5-7 years of commercial construction project management experience.
• Experience in industrial/commercial construction with aggressive growth context.
• Strong communication, analytical and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; AutoCAD; Timberline or Marathon preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop project scope in conjunction with field operations and Real Estate Managers.
• Manage turnkey delivery from site selection through closeout.
• Develop timelines to meet occupancy requirements.
• Coordinate entitlement and permitting processes with scope and management.
• Ensure projects meet URI branding and facility specs.
• Coordinate safety, resources, and compliance within budgets and timelines.
• Oversee vendor bids, invoices, and budget adherence.

Education

B.S. in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field

5-7 years related experience in commercial construction

Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills
