Job summary

Profectus Multifamily Management in Killeen, TX seeks a dynamic Make Ready Technician to prepare apartment units for new and existing residents, ensuring homes meet high standards across our communities. You will support the Maintenance Technician, perform make-ready tasks, and focus on meeting turnover deadlines.

You will handle unit repairs, painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, flooring, fixtures, cleaning and cosmetic improvements, working to keep projects on schedule and maintain quality

Qualifications

• Make-ready tasks and general maintenance experience is required.
• Experience with painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, flooring, fixtures, cleaning, and cosmetic improvements.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, appliance dolly, ladders.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and pass a background check.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Lead Maintenance Technician and Property Manager to meet unit turn deadlines.
• Inspect vacated units and complete unit turns to market-ready condition using make-ready checklists.
• Conduct final walk-throughs to verify quality and completeness of all make-ready work.
• Report major repair needs to the Lead Maintenance Technician or Property Manager.
• Document completed work orders and report any outstanding issues to the maintenance supervisor.
• Manage inventory of tools, equipment, supplies, and spare parts needed to complete work orders.
• Assist in keeping property grounds and common areas clean and always maintained.
