Job summary

Bellaire Multifamily is seeking a Make Ready Technician to prepare apartment homes for new residents. You will perform make-ready work, basic maintenance, and ensure units are clean and move-in ready while coordinating with the team to keep communities in top condition.

Ekperience in plumbing, electrical, and carpentry is valued; HVAC knowledge is a plus. This role requires lifting up to 100 lbs and may involve after-hours on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in make-ready, maintenance, or similar field.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work.
• HVAC knowledge preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and work in various indoor and outdoor environments.
• Strong time management, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented unit preparation.

Responsibilities

• Complete make-ready work orders on schedule and to company standards.
• Perform general maintenance tasks, including light plumbing, painting, carpentry, and appliance repair.
• Leave units clean and neat after work is completed.
• Provide notice of entry to residents with updates on completed or ongoing work.
• Follow up on any incomplete work orders until resolved.
• Assist with grounds upkeep and help maintain curb appeal.
• Proactively service and maintain community amenities such as pools.
• Collaborate with office and maintenance teams to report needs and complete work efficiently.
• Notify Maintenance Supervisor of needed supplies and inventory levels.
• Assist residents with professionalism and care.
• Comply with OSHA, environmental, and company safety regulations.
• Follow all key control procedures.
• Maintain a drug-free, alcohol-free, and safe work environment.
• Secure and maintain tools, equipment, and supplies appropriately.
• Participate in the on-call emergency rotation as assigned.
