Job summary

Chevron in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Turnaround Execution Coordinator to safely plan and execute refinery turnarounds. You will partner with Operations, Maintenance, Projects, and contractor teams to deliver cost‑effective, predictable turnarounds through the IMPACT process and disciplined milestone management.

Responsibilities include leading safety initiatives, FEL development, budget oversight, and contractor coordination, with a focus on continuous improvement and closeout activities.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in refinery, petrochemical, chemical, manufacturing, or other heavy industrial maintenance and turnaround execution environments.
• Strong knowledge of maintenance work practices, safe work processes, work execution, and field coordination activities.
• Demonstrated ability to lead employees, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams during maintenance or turnaround activities.
• Working knowledge of planning, scheduling, resource management, cost control, and execution management principles.

Responsibilities

• Champion incident-free operations and ensure compliance with all safety requirements.
• Conduct routine field audits, lead safety meetings, facilitate tailgates, investigate incidents, and implement actions to prevent recurrence.
• Support turnaround scope development, validation, prioritization, and justification processes.
• Develop and communicate Front-End Loading (FEL) plans, including contracting strategies and readiness plans.
• Execute turnaround activities with milestone management, KPI performance, and schedule adherence.
• Coordinate ownership and execution with Capital Project teams for pre-turnaround and turnaround work.
• Select and manage contractors to ensure adequate labor, equipment, and resources.
• Provide leadership to maintenance personnel and turnaround execution teams.
• Facilitate meetings to coordinate execution activities and drive stakeholder alignment.
• Develop and monitor turnaround budgets, forecasts, and cost performance.
• Support development and execution of turnaround plans, schedules, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Manage turnaround documentation, records, and data within IMPACT and other systems.
• Participate in closeout, benchmarking, lookbacks, and lessons learned reviews.
• Adopt digital tools and continuously improve turnaround planning and execution processes.
