Qualifications

• Requires 10+ years refining operations experience, or 5 years with a technical background supporting refining operations.
• Ability to work a rotating 12-hour shift schedule.
• Must live within 50 miles of El Segundo Refinery.
• Valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities

• Operational Coordination: supervises, coordinates, and directs activities of assigned units on shift.
• Emergency Response: takes action in unusual situations to correct adverse conditions.
• Maintenance Supervision: oversees removal, preparation, and return of equipment to service.
• Preventative Maintenance: directs ongoing service and maintenance programs.
• Resource Management: ensures economical use of utilities, materials, and supplies.
• Leadership: demonstrates decision-making, safety, and communication; manages payroll and performance feedback.
• Safety and Compliance: enforces safety rules and investigates upsets or mishaps.
• Additional items: supports updates to operating standards and procedures; conducts daily meetings.
