Job summary

FineTurf LLC seeks an Agronomist to own service calls, diagnose turf issues, and train crews on turf care and product use. You will support sales with on-site property evaluations and coordinate resolutions with operations, aiming to keep customers on service and improve satisfaction.

Requirements include robust turf expertise, field/office flexibility, and a NC pesticide license. Expect a Monday–Friday schedule with base pay plus commissions and a performance bonus.

Qualifications

• Strong turfgrass knowledge including weeds, disease, insects, fertility and irrigation.
• Calm, confident communication with upset customers by phone and in person.
• Highly organized with issues tracked until resolution.
• Comfortable splitting time between field and office.

Responsibilities

• Own every service call and cancel issue, route and follow up within 48 hours.
• Reduce cancel rate by addressing root causes and fixes.
• Diagnose turf problems on-site and train team leads on turf knowledge and product questions.
• Support sales through on-site property evaluations and meetings (1–4 per week).
• Verify records and notes in Real Green and ensure technician notes are clear.
