Job summary

Munie Greencare Professionals seeks an Agronomist to lead turf and plant health strategy across commercial properties, athletic fields, and residential turf systems—each with unique soil profiles, stressors, and performance expectations.

This is not a single-site role. This is applied agronomy at scale. You will diagnose turf conditions, develop fertility and IPM programs, interpret soil tests, and advise on irrigation and turf health.

Qualifications

• Experience in turf management on golf courses, athletic fields, or sports turf.
• Familiarity with fertility programs, soil health, and IPM.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field preferred.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.

Experience Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in turf management, lawn care, golf course maintenance, or sports turf
• Experience diagnosing turf conditions (disease, insects, weeds, soil issues)
• Familiarity with fertility programs, soil health, and Integrated Pest Management (IPM)
• Background as Assistant Superintendent, Turf Specialist, Spray Technician, or similar role preferred

Educational Requirements

• Degree in Agronomy, Turfgrass Science, Horticulture, or related field preferred
• Relevant field experience may be considered in lieu of formal education

Special Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to walk properties and perform inspections throughout the day
• Pesticide applicator license (preferred or ability to obtain)
• Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences

From $65,000 to $80,000 per year
