Job summary

Siemens Energy in Charlotte, NC, seeks Alignment Mechanics for a Monday–Thursday schedule (3:45pm–2:15am). You will perform turbine assembly, alignment, blading, welding, and fabrication, using precision tools and blueprints to ensure quality.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years in turbine assembly, mechanical maintenance, or related manufacturing.
• Experience with turbine assembly operations including alignment, blading, seal installation, welding, and fabrication.
• Able to operate material handling equipment and overhead cranes.
• Knowledge of blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
• Able to use precision measuring instruments to verify tolerances.
• Experience setting up and operating manual machine tools.
• Proficient with computers for data retrieval and documentation.
• Detail-oriented and able to work independently.
• Authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform turbine assembly, alignment, blading, seal installation/removal, welding, fabrication, and component adjustments.
• Operate material handling equipment and cranes for product movement and lifts.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
• Use computers to retrieve, record, and review product data and manufacturing information.
• Measure, calculate, and verify dimensions, tolerances, and product quality.
• Set up, operate, maintain, and clean manual machining equipment.
