Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a skilled welder to perform assembly, welding and rework of industrial turbine components in a manufacturing setting. You will read travelers and blueprints, set up and operate welding equipment, select appropriate weld materials, and ensure quality workmanship in accordance with standards.

The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and collaboration with maintenance teams while supporting new part manufacturing processes and meeting production targets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus completion of a certified welding program or 2+ years TIG welding experience.
• Proficiency in TIG, MIG, and/or Arc welding with ability to produce high-quality welds.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Experience with castings and nickel alloys and basic equipment maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform precision TIG and laser welding on turbine components to meet specifications.
• Assemble, repair, and rework components while maintaining workflow efficiency and quality.
• Interpret travelers, blueprints, and drawings to execute welding operations accurately.
• Prepare, inspect, polish, and weld components using correct materials and techniques.
• Conduct visual inspections and evaluate welds for conformance, aiming for continuous improvement.
• Maintain a safe, productive work environment and assist maintenance teams as needed.
