Job summary

U.S. Facilities, Inc. seeks an experienced Equipment Repair Technician to diagnose, repair, inspect, and maintain motorized and mechanical construction, highway maintenance, and automotive equipment across Southeast Virginia.

You will perform safety inspections, preventative maintenance, welding, and complex repairs while documenting work orders. The role requires a High School diploma or GED, vocational training, and a Class B CDL with a DOT medical card, with ASE certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED and vocational/technical training in automotive repair.
• Minimum Class B CDL and DOT medical card; ASE certifications preferred.
• Experience with diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of automotive and heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose vehicle and equipment failures using diagnostic tools and manuals.
• Perform safety inspections under Virginia State Police guidelines.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel and gasoline engines and hydraulic systems.
• Weld, fabricate, and repair components as needed; assist with outsourcing major repairs.
• Prepare and maintain maintenance documents and work orders.
