Job summary

U.S. Facilities, Inc. is seeking an experienced Equipment Repair Technician for a project in Southeast Virginia (Chesapeake, VA).

The role will diagnose, repair, inspect and maintain motorized and mechanical construction, highway, grounds, and automotive equipment on site and in varied locations. You will perform preventative maintenance, safety inspections, and emergency repairs, using diagnostic tools and manuals.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; vocational/technical automotive training preferred.
• Demonstrated equivalent accepted.
• Refrigerant Recovery and Recycling certification preferred or obtainable within timelines.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose vehicle and equipment failures using electronic testing equipment and manuals.
• Perform repairs and overhauls on engines, transmissions, electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Perform Virginia State inspections and preventative maintenance per PM schedule.
• Weld, fabricate, and modify components for repair or replacement.
• Prepare maintenance documentation and close-out work orders.
