Job summary

U.S. Facilities, Inc. seeks an Equipment Repair Technician to diagnose, repair and maintain a wide range of motorized and mechanical equipment across Southeast Virginia.

The role requires hands-on mechanical skills, safety discipline, and the ability to work in varied environments. Responsibilities include inspecting vehicles, performing preventative maintenance, welding, and completing paperwork from maintenance systems; candidates should have CDL Class B and related certifications or the

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class B with DOT medical card or ability to obtain.
• Refrigerant Recovery certification or plan to obtain.
• Virginia Police Equipment Inspection license or ability to obtain.
• ASE certifications highly preferred.
• Experience with diagnostics and repair of diesel/gasoline engines.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicle and equipment failures using testing equipment and manuals.
• Perform safety inspections under Virginia guidelines and maintain paperwork.
• Conduct preventative maintenance per PM schedule and advise outsourcing when needed.
• Welding, fabrication and repair of components to restore operation.
• Prepare equipment for emergency operations and on-road repairs.
• Maintain maintenance records and complete work orders in the system.
