Job summary

U.S. Facilities, Inc. seeks an experienced Equipment Repair Technician to diagnose, repair, inspect and maintain motorized and mechanical construction, highway, grounds, and automotive equipment across Southeast Virginia.

You will perform diagnostics with electronic testing equipment, follow inspection guidelines, and handle preventive maintenance, welding, and documentation; a CDL and related certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Vocational or technical training in automotive and equipment repair and diagnostics preferred; equivalent experience or training may substitute for education.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose vehicle and equipment failures using electronic testing equipment and service manuals.
• Perform repairs and overhauls on automobiles, equipment and tools including engines, transmissions and electrical systems.
• Perform Virginia State Inspections and routine preventive maintenance.
• Welding repair and fabrication as needed to repair or replace parts.
• Prepare maintenance documents and close-out work orders in the system.
