Job summary

Job description

• Perform duties related to receipt, movement, transportation, sorting, stocking, preservation, packaging and shipping of materials, supplies and company products
• Utilize and maintain equipment necessary for product movement
• Transport, receive, deliver, stage and/or stock materials and product
• Select packaging materials and prepare labels and shipping information
• Detect and report defective materials and refer discrepancies to the appropriate supervisor
• Perform packing, crating and shipping functions
• Receive incoming goods and compare them against purchase orders and shipping documents
• Maintain required files and reports
• Take physical inventories of stock and supplies as directed
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks
• Preserve, secure, wrap and stock parts as necessary
• Perform other reasonable material-control-related duties
• Train other employees as needed
• Maintain workplace and equipment cleanliness and keep areas free of FOD
• Comply with EHS policies, training, instructions and PPE requirements
• Report accidents, incidents, near misses and dangerous situations to management

Requirements

• Powered Industrial Truck certification, required
• High School Diploma, (GED) or equivalent
• Must have a high school diploma or a GED
• 2-4 years of experience preferred
• General mechanical knowledge/background
• Safe use of hand and power tools
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
• Prefer ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical diagrams
• Intermediate computer skills
• Ability to read and write and interpret measurements and readings
• Ability to exercise sound independent judgment
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and work process instructions
• Ability to move parts and equipment in a safe and practical manner
• Ability to work appropriately with others in a team environment and willingness to assist, educate and train others
• Ability to use hand tools and inspect gauges
• Compliance with applicable safety and health rules and regulations, including respiratory protection and hearing conservation programs when applicable
• Must comply with FAA requirements for a “safety sensitive” position
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• U.S. applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
• For applicable US positions, must be a US Person under ITAR or eligible for approval for a U.S. Government export license
