Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a skilled field technician to diagnose, repair, and rebuild material handling equipment and major systems. You will perform preventive maintenance, inspections, failure analysis, and basic welding to keep customers operating.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and at least 1 year of forklift repair or related mechanical experience. Certification on at least 50% of our product line is expected.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Working knowledge of material handling equipment.
• Certification on at least 50% of the company product line expected.
• Clear communication skills and willingness to learn and grow.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform on-call duties.
• Mechanical/trade school and Hyster-Yale certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild material handling equipment and major systems, including engines, electric motors, hydraulics, transmissions, brakes, steering, electrical, and lifting systems
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, failure analysis, and basic welding
• Secure equipment properly and follow OSHA, DOT, and company requirements
• Maintain a clean work area and participate in the Safety First culture
• Maintain needed parts and supplies
• Complete service documentation on time
• Continue technical training and certifications
• Provide reliable service to help customers restore equipment operation
